About 20 percent of all teens experience depression before they reach adulthood. A range of 10 up to 15 percent can experience symptoms at any given time. Only 30 teens who are depressed are being treated. Teenage depression may include a low mood, sadness, irritability, feeling helpless, a loss of interest in things you used to enjoy, and a prolonged low mood. Depression can look similar to clinical depression. It is recommended to seek professional help if you believe you might be suffering from depression.
